It is with great anticipation that Inspiration Plus has the delivery from Michigan of the American French Tool Press, custom made by Conrad Machine. With great pleasure, then, we announce the “Christening of the Press” this Sunday, June 14th, at 11 am. The event will be broadcast over Zoom, and all are invited to attend by following the link below and entering the passcodes:
Meeting ID: 730 1429 3665
Riggers Mike Collins, Chip Blazer, and Jack Page will deliver the press on their 1940’s International Truck at Dan Welden’s Hampton Edition Studio, and Christening specialist, and international artist, Eric Fischl will smash a bottle of 1969 Mosel Wine from the Ernst family. Fischl will use a ‘Flintstone Club’ made of Mountain Laurel, indigenous rock and some rawhide shoe laces.
The event will be completely filmed and included in the documentary Lasting Impressions by Lundegaard Imageforge, with Filmmakers Lars Lunde and Carl Welden. The 45-minute event will also include a presentation of the theremin, an electronic musical instrument, by Carl Welden. Helen Harrison, Director of the Pollock Krasner House and Study Center, will be present at the event to cheer us on as a special guest.
We look forward with enthusiasm to seeing you all (at a distance) at the Hampton Editions Studio on June 14th, Sunday!
